Years
of planning and fundraising culminated
in 1962 with the Slovenian-American community in Cleveland,
Ohio opening the doors to its own 24-bed rest home.
From
its beginning, the Slovene Home for the Aged has operated on
a not-for-profit basis with the major focus on providing care
of the highest quality. The operation of the Home has always been
centered around providing an ethnic living environment along with
care, compassion and service. This conveys to the Residents the
feeling of a true home with a supportive family providing love
as well as care.
In
addition to medical services, the
Home provides a complete and comprehensive program of rehabilitative
services including:
- Long & Short Term Placement
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational
Therapy
- Speech

- Restorative

Promoting
the total wellness of the residents is a crucial aspect of life
at the Slovene Home for the Aged. An extensive program of daily
recreational activities and events encourages
this well-being.

in house.
